Qatar national team coach Bartolomé Márquez has named a 26-man squad for the upcoming joint FIFA World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup 2027 qualifiers against UAE and North Korea.

Al Annabi will host UAE at Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on September 5, before travelling to Laos where they will face North Korea on September 10.

Group A of the third round of qualifiers also include Iran, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The top two teams in the group will qualify directly to the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, while the third and fourth team will still have a chance as they will go through a fourth and fifth round.

Eight teams from Asia will secure direct spots in the finals, while a ninth team will have to compete in an intercontinental playoff alongside five other sides for the last two spots.
