Qatar suffered a 3-1 defeat against Bosnia & Herzegovina to bring their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign to a disappointing end at the group stage.
Bosnia went ahead in the 29th minute when Kerim Alajbegović cut in from outside the box and fired a right-footed shot into the net.
The second came five minutes later, as Edin Džeko’s half-volley struck Sultan Al-Brake and spun in off goalkeeper Mahmoud Abunada.
Qatar pulled one back before half-time when Edmilson Junior pulled the ball back from the left for Hassan Al-Haydos to finish from close range.
Bosnia sealed the win in the 82nd minute when substitute Ermin Mahmić’s deflected shot found its way into the net.
