Aspire Academy gets ready to celebrate its 12th graduating class

Aspire Academy is set to host its 12th Graduation Ceremony in honour of its latest batch of student-athletes. On Tuesday, 25 June evening, 42 young men will graduate from sport disciplines of athletics, fencing, football, soccer, squash, table tennis, archery, golf and gymnastics.

The ceremony will be attended by senior representatives from Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF). Deputy Director General at Aspire Academy, Mr. Ali Salem Afifa and the Second Vice-President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and President of Qatar Athletics Association, H.E. Dr. Thani bin Abdulrahman al-Kuwari, will grace the occasion and partake in the award ceremony.

The event marks another milestone in Aspire Academy’s 15-year journey to become the world’s leading sports academy and the reference point in youth sport development, world over by 2020. Aspire Academy continues to develop, nurture and provide the bulk of players for Qatar’s national teams and clubs including 70% of the Qatar team that won Asian Cup 2019 in UAE. In addition, Aspire Academy plays a key role in the development of the sports sector in Qatar, as it provides an integrated educational programme for students and the development of sports and educational skills.
