Al-Rayyan reached their first Amir Cup final since 2018 after a 2-1 hard-earned victory over Al-Duhail on Monday.
Dame Traore gave Laurent Blanc’s side an early lead with a powerful diving header that took a slight deflection, before Yacine Brahimi added a second from the spot near the hour mark.
Khaled Mohamed pulled one back for Al-Duhail ten minutes from time, but it was not enough as the two-time champions paid the price of failing to take their chances.
Al-Rayyan will face Al-Sadd in the final on May 14th.
